CONSULTATION ON PROPOSED CHANGES TO MENTAL HEALTH INPATIENT SERVICES IN SOUTH STAFFORDSHIRE
24th October 2011 and runs until 13th February 2012
South Staffordshire Primary Care Trust (PCT) in partnership with South Staffordshire and Shropshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust (SSSHFT) are undertaking a period of consultation on a proposal for changes to mental health inpatient services in South Staffordshire. The consultation commences 24th October 2011 and runs until 13th February 2012.
Purpose of Consultation
The purpose of this consultation is to seek views from service users, carers, residents, staff and stakeholders on the important changes being proposed, which include:
- continued improvements to community mental health services;
- reducing the overall number of mental health hospital beds for adults and older people, in line with future needs;

Feed Back
When you have had a chance to read and consider the proposal we would welcome your views and opinions by 5.00pm on 13th February 2011. Any responses received after this time will not be included in the analysis.
Please note it is the intention of the project team to publish a summary document of the responses received and as such we will not accept anonymous responses.

Three consultation events are being held to enable people to hear more about, and discuss the proposal.
