Prior Information Notice

Featherstone 2 Healthcare Services Tender

This is a Prior Information Notice for the planned procurement of Prison Healthcare Services for a new prison facility in South Staffordshire. South Staffordshire PCT will be re-inviting bids for healthcare services within Featherstone 2, following the removal of remand prisoners from the prison population profile.

The contracts on offer will include a range of health services that will fall within three main categories - Primary Care, Substance Misuse and Integrated Mental Health Services. Please be advised that inpatient services and the dedicated substance misuse unit no longer forms part of the healthcare services requirements. A limited service will be required for the prison opening (estimated as March 2012) with build up to full service delivery over 6 to 7 months.

Expressions of Interest and Pre Qualifying Questionnaires will be requested towards the end of February 2011 through a number of sources including Supply 2 Health and the Health Service Journal.
