Area Prescribing Committee
The Area Prescribing Committee (APC) is a multi-organisational group comprising Pharmacists, GP's and consultants from across the health economy. The aims are to ensure a robust review and evaluation of the clinical and cost-effectiveness of new medicines, and manage the safe introduction of new medicines when appropriate.
The APC also considers the technical aspects relating to the implementation of NICE guidance, and delivers actions and assurances around medicines safety issues.
The APC will meet every two months and the agenda and minutes from the meeting will be published below.
