Policies and Position Statements

This section of the website is to allow users easy access to medicines related PCT policies or positioning statements. PCT policies will have been ratified by the relevant committee and should be considered mandatory for all staff.

The positioning statements for particular drug interventions are advisory, based on a formal review of the published evidence of both clinical and cost-effectiveness as well as safety.

The purpose of positioning statements is to provide clinicians with a PCT view on the suitability of new drug treatments for use within out patient population.
