South Staffs PCT Health Atlas
The South Staffordshire PCT Health Atlas displays health data using a series of interactive maps, tables and charts.
The atlas has now been updated to include a wider variety of Public Health Data. Data for the latest available time period has been added and in addition to ward level data provided previously, there is now data for Middle Layer (MLSOA) and Lower Layer Super Output Areas (LLSOA). For example, deprivation data at LLSOA level allows you to pick out deprived areas within electoral wards.
Population, deprivation, lifestyle, mortality and life expectancy are some of the categories of information available. Some of the data is available over several years, allowing time trend analysis. The atlas will be updated as new data becomes available.

Atlases
To view data you will need to have Adobe Flash Player installed on your PC. This can be downloaded from the Adobe website. In some circumstances administrator rights will be required to successfully install the viewer. The atlas applications should be used with broadband connections. If an application appears to respond to user requests, it may be worth returning to the application at a time when there is less congestion online. Also when linking to the atlases you will need to give some time to allow the pages to form.

Download the Adobe Flash Player
For those who cannot use or download Adobe Flash Player a transcript of the underlying data will always be provided.
The interactive data mapping and visualisation tool we have used to produce the South Staffs PCT Health Atlases is called InstantAtlas™. For more information please click here.
If you have any questions, or problems, using this application please do not hesitate to contact the Public Health Intelligence team via the feedback page or the contact details provided.
